Wide-channel cross-flow membrane separation engineered specifically to handle high-solid, viscous, or challenging industrial wastewater streams prone to rapid membrane fouling.
Reliable Membrane Separation for Challenging Industrial Wastewater Applications
Tubular Membrane Filtration Systems are engineered membrane-based separation systems designed for the treatment and concentration of challenging industrial wastewater streams. Tubular membrane modules provide a relatively large feed-channel cross-section, making them suitable for applications where the feed contains significant suspended solids, colloidal matter or other fouling-causing constituents, subject to appropriate pre-treatment and process design.
The system operates primarily in cross-flow filtration mode. Feed wastewater is circulated through tubular membrane channels under controlled pressure. Depending on the selected membrane type and application, water and dissolved or suspended constituents are separated according to the membrane’s pore size, molecular weight cut-off (MWCO) and separation characteristics.
The process produces two streams:
The permeate can be routed for water reuse or further treatment, while the concentrate can be returned to the treatment process or sent for downstream concentration/disposal, depending on the overall plant configuration.
