Reliable cation-exchange softening systems designed to eliminate scale-forming calcium and magnesium hardness, protecting downstream pipelines, boilers, and heat exchangers.
Reliable Hardness Removal for Industrial & Utility Water Applications
Customized Water Softener Plant solutions for the reduction of hardness-causing ions such as calcium and magnesium from water.
Water softening is an important pre-treatment process for applications where hardness can cause scaling, reduced heat-transfer efficiency, equipment fouling and operational problems. Our softener systems are designed according to the feed-water quality, required flow rate, hardness load and application.
The system can be configured with single, duplex or multi-vessel arrangements depending on the required operating cycle and water demand.
A conventional water softener uses cation exchange resin to exchange hardness-causing calcium and magnesium ions with sodium ions.
Once the resin reaches its exhaustion capacity, it is regenerated using a salt/brine solution, restoring the resin’s ion-exchange capacity for the next service cycle.
Regeneration Cycle
Service → Backwash → Brine Injection → Slow Rinse → Fast Rinse → Service
The regeneration sequence can be operated manually, semi-automatically or automatically depending on the plant configuration.
